If you booked on PlayInn and changed your mind, you have 10 calendar days to ask for the transaction to be revoked. Here you'll find how to ask for it, what details we need and what happens next. You don't need to log in or to have an active booking to write to us.
1. What the right of withdrawal is
Argentina's Consumer Protection Act (Law 24.240, section 34) gives you the right to withdraw from a distance purchase —over the internet, like this one— within 10 calendar days, without having to explain why and at no cost to you. Resolution 424/2020 of the Secretariat of Domestic Trade also requires that the request can be made through the same medium you contracted with, and that the button is visible from the home page. This page is that channel.
2. When the 10 days run
The clock starts the day you confirm the booking or the day the service becomes available, whichever comes later. They are calendar days, not business days: if the last one falls on a weekend or a public holiday, it moves to the next business day. If you're not sure whether you're still in time, write to us anyway. We'd rather check it ourselves than have you give it up.
3. How to request it
Write to [email protected] or send us a WhatsApp message at +5491131445738 with the subject "Arrepentimiento" (withdrawal). You don't need to log in or to have an active booking. Tell us your full name, the email address you booked with, the booking code (it's in your confirmation email and in My trips) and the dates of the stay. If you can't find the code, the email address and the dates are enough: we'll look it up.
4. What happens after you ask
We send you an acknowledgement through the same channel within 24 business hours, confirming that we received the request and the date it came in, which is the date that counts for the deadline. We then review the case and reply in writing with the outcome and, if a refund applies, the timeframe and the method it goes out by. If you paid with Mercado Pago, the refund returns to the same payment method.
5. Accommodation on fixed dates: what we assess in each case
We'd rather be straight about this. PlayInn brokers accommodation between people for specific dates, and that is one of the cases where whether section 34 applies has to be assessed one by one: there's no automatic answer that fits everyone. So we're not promising you a full automatic refund here, and we're not telling you the right doesn't apply either. We take the request, look at your actual booking and answer you with our reasoning. If withdrawal doesn't apply, we tell you what does: that booking's cancellation policy, which may return part or all of the amount depending on how far away check-in is.
6. If you already have a booking: cancel from My trips
For most cases the fastest route is to cancel it yourself from My trips: open the booking, tap Cancel and, before confirming, you see exactly how much comes back to you under the current policy. That flow needs a session and an active booking, so it doesn't replace this channel: treat it as a shortcut, not as the only door. If you cancel there and believe withdrawal should have applied, write to us anyway and we'll review the difference.
7. Closing your account
Withdrawal is about one specific transaction. If what you want is to leave PlayInn, closing your account is a different thing and it's also within reach: you request it from your profile, under Delete account. We have no subscriptions and no charges that renew on their own, so there's nothing else to cancel beyond the account itself.
8. If we don't reach an agreement
You can file a claim with the enforcement authority: the Ventanilla Única Federal de Defensa del Consumidor (argentina.gob.ar/produccion/defensadelconsumidor) or the consumer protection office of your province or municipality.
