Host Terms

Last updated: version 2026-09-18

These terms supplement PlayInn's Terms and conditions and govern what offering accommodation on the platform involves. You must read and accept them before activating a listing.

1. Scope and acceptance

These terms apply to any individual or legal entity that lists accommodation on PlayInn (the host, or simply you). To activate or reactivate a listing you must accept them by ticking the checkbox shown before doing so; without that acceptance the listing is not activated. Acceptance is given electronically, counts as your express consent and is recorded, as evidence, together with the accepted version, the date and time and technical connection data (IP address and browser or device). They apply from the moment you accept them. When we publish a new version we will ask you to accept it again before you activate or reactivate a listing; a version change does not by itself pause your active listings. You can read, save or print these terms at any time from this page.

2. Relationship with other documents and language

These terms form part of PlayInn's general Terms and conditions and its privacy notice, which you accepted when creating your account and which still apply to you. If these terms and the general terms differ on matters specific to hosting, these terms prevail. Nothing in them limits the rights the law grants guests as consumers or, where applicable, the rights it grants you. These terms are written in Spanish and are also offered in English as a translation; if the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.

3. Definitions

In these terms: “platform” means PlayInn's website and app; “listing” means the offer of an accommodation with its beds, photos, price, extras, dates and rules; “bed” means the place for one person, usually a single bed; “guest” means the adult account holder who requests and pays for the booking and, depending on the context, the people traveling under it; “request” means the booking request a guest sends you; “confirmed booking” means a request you accepted and the guest paid for; “minimum stay” means the number of nights the platform sets for the sport or the tournament or event as the basis for calculating cancellations; “tournament or event” means the competition or sporting event loaded on the platform; “circuit” means the tournament or event or sport your listing is linked to; “base” means the amount of a booking's nights plus its extras; “payout” means the amount PlayInn transfers to you for a booking; and “strike” means the mark recorded on your account when you cancel a confirmed booking at short notice.

4. What PlayInn does

PlayInn provides a technology intermediation service: it lets you list your accommodation, receive requests, communicate with guests, get paid and manage your bookings. PlayInn does not own, lease out, run as a hotel or operate the accommodations, is not a party to the accommodation contract you enter into with each guest and does not guarantee that you will receive requests. We do not verify property titles, permits or the condition of places, although we may ask you for documents supporting what you declare. The order in which listings appear depends on criteria such as location and distance to the venue, price, dates and the filters each traveler uses.

5. Payment collection mandate

By accepting these terms you instruct PlayInn, as your agent and on your behalf, to collect the price of your bookings from guests through Mercado Pago, to hold that money until after check-out, to apply the refunds, discounts and set-offs provided for in these terms and to transfer the balance to you. PlayInn's compensation for this mandate and for the rest of the service is the commission set out in these terms. A payment the guest makes to PlayInn within the platform counts as a payment made to you: once credited, you cannot claim that same amount from the guest. The breakdown of each booking and payout shown in your dashboard is the account of this mandate, and you can ask us for further information whenever you need it. The mandate remains in place while you have active listings or bookings pending settlement.

6. Requirements to host

To list you must be 18 or older, have a verified email and a complete profile (first name, last name, date of birth, identity document number, gender and city), and have entered your payout details (CBU, CVU or alias, account holder and institution). Your details must be true and kept up to date. When a booking is confirmed, your full name and identity document number are shown to the guest of that booking, just as you see theirs; they are never published on your profile. If you list on behalf of a club, a hotel or another legal entity, you declare that you have sufficient authority to bind it, that accepting these terms binds the entity and that you will act within that authority. We may ask you for documents proving your identity or your authority.

7. Your right to offer the place

You may only list a place you are entitled to offer. If you are an owner, you need the consent of the other co-owners where applicable. If you rent the place, you need your landlord's authorization or a lease that allows you to sublet, and you must comply with what the Civil and Commercial Code requires for assignment and subletting (sections 1213 to 1216), including giving the landlord reliable notice where applicable; offering the place without that authorization may make you liable to the landlord. If the place is in a building under the horizontal property regime, the use you give it must be compatible with the building's horizontal property bylaws (section 2047 of the Civil and Commercial Code), which must not prohibit the activity, and you must respect the internal rules and the decisions of the owners' association. If you offer a place that is not yours with its holder's authorization (for example, a club's or a hotel's), you declare that the authorization exists and covers the listing. If it turns out that you are not entitled to offer the place, we may remove the listing, and you are liable for the damage this causes to the guest, third parties or PlayInn.

8. Registrations, permits and local rules

You must comply with the national, provincial and municipal rules that apply to your accommodation: registration in temporary-rental or tourist-accommodation registries, permits, safety conditions, mandatory insurance, guest registers and any other requirement of the place where the property is located. For example, in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Law 6,255 requires those who offer units as tourist temporary rentals to register them in the Registry of Tourist Temporary Rental Properties, to include the registration number in every booking and advertisement, to notify the owners' association, to keep a record of guests and to take out civil liability insurance; hotels, inns, hostels and similar establishments also need the relevant permit and classification. If a rule requires you to display a registration number, include it in your listing. If an authority orders us to remove or suspend a listing for non-compliance, we will do so and let you know.

9. Your relationship with the guest

You enter into the accommodation contract directly with the guest when the booking is confirmed, under the conditions of your listing and these terms. Depending on how you offer the place, that contract may be a temporary lease for tourism, sports or similar purposes, in which you grant the use of a home or part of it for a few nights, or a lodging service, if you provide accommodation professionally or as an establishment (for example, a hotel, a hostel or a club's rooms). In the latter case, and in general whenever you offer accommodation professionally, even occasionally, you may be considered a supplier under Consumer Protection Law 24,240, with the duties that entails: providing accurate, clear and detailed information, treating guests with dignity, honoring what you offered and being liable under that law; and if you are a hotel or a comparable establishment, you are also liable for the belongings guests bring in, under the Civil and Commercial Code. You alone are responsible for meeting your obligations to the guest.

10. Listing content

Everything you publish must be true, complete and up to date, and it forms part of your offer to the guest. In particular, photos must show the actual place you offer (at least 3) and must not be edited to give a misleading impression; the number of beds, whether spaces are shared, the amenities and the house rules must match reality; and the role you declare (for example, whether you compete in the same tournament or event or are a club or a hotel) must be accurate. You set the price, in Argentine pesos, per bed and per night. The extras you offer (such as breakfast, charged per night, or transport to the venue one way, return or round trip, charged once per stay) are published with their price or as included, and you may not charge for anything that is not published. The exact address you enter is not shown on the listing: the platform shows an approximate location, and the exact address is shared with the guest only once the booking is confirmed. Do not include contact details in the listing.

11. Availability and link to a tournament or event or sport

Your listing can be available for set dates, which is the default, or be permanent. A dated listing expires automatically at the end of its last available day, and so do drafts whose dates have passed; an expired listing receives no requests until you renew it with new dates. A permanent listing does not expire, but you must pause it when you cannot host guests. You can link your listing to a tournament or event or to a sport, and also close it to that circuit. If you link it to a tournament or event, the available dates come from the tournament or event dates plus the days before and after you choose to open, up to 7 on each side, and the listing cannot be permanent. Pausing a listing does not cancel confirmed bookings, which you must honor. Keeping your dates and availability up to date, so that you do not have to cancel bookings, is your responsibility.

12. Photos, texts and image rights

You keep ownership of the photos, texts and other content you upload, and you guarantee that you created them or are authorized to use them. Do not upload images in which other people can be recognized without their consent, as required by section 53 of the Civil and Commercial Code, and especially avoid images of children and adolescents. By uploading content you grant PlayInn a royalty-free, non-exclusive license, for as long as it is published, to host, reproduce, technically adapt (for example, crop, compress or resize) and display it on the platform and in the promotion of the service. When you remove content we stop using it in new materials; backups and promotional materials already released may remain for a reasonable time. You are liable for third-party claims arising from content you uploaded without the right to do so.

13. Choosing guests and non-discrimination

You accept or decline each request: no booking is confirmed without your acceptance. You may decline for reasonable reasons related to the stay, such as the dates, the number of people, your house rules, the minors policy or your listing's circuit. You may not decline, cancel or treat anyone differently for discriminatory reasons, such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, ideology, political or union opinion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, health condition, economic position, social status or physical characteristics, under Anti-Discrimination Law 23,592 and other rules against discrimination. Nor may you ask guests for information that is not needed for the stay. The preferences the platform lets you set (gender, minors and circuit) are the only accepted exceptions, and only to the extent these terms explain.

14. Gender preference

You can set your listing as women only, men only or open to anyone. This option exists to protect people's privacy and safety when sleeping or bathroom spaces are shared, or when the accommodation is in your own home, and it may not be used for any other purpose. The preference applies to the gender each person declares on their profile, which is respected as declared, in line with Gender Identity Law 26,743. The platform only blocks a request when the account holder sending it declared the gender opposite to the one you chose; if they did not declare a gender, preferred not to say or declared another gender, the request reaches you and you decide. In that case, decide respectfully and without asking anyone for documents, proof or explanations about their gender or their body.

15. Listings closed to a circuit

If you close your listing to people from a tournament or event or a sport, each guest states when requesting a booking whether they take part in that circuit. The platform does not verify that statement or require it to send the request: you see it before accepting. If you accept someone who stated that they do not take part, or who made no such statement, you waive the right to complain later on that ground for that booking. If the guest stated that they take part and you have reason to believe otherwise, you can open a case from the booking while it is confirmed or in progress: the booking stays in place, your payout is held and the guest has 48 hours to prove their participation to PlayInn, which is the only party that sees that documentation. If PlayInn decides that the guest did not prove it, you can cancel the booking with no refund to the guest, with no penalty or strike for you, and collect the full amount due to you; if it decides that the guest did prove it, the booking continues and your payout is released as usual. The deadline passing does not settle the case on its own.

16. Minors

Your listings are created as adults only (18 and over). You will only receive requests that include minors if you expressly enable “adults and minors” on the listing. A minor never has their own account: they travel included in the booking of an adult account holder who is responsible for the stay, either accompanied by that adult or, with a signed authorization from their mother, father or guardian, without the account holder. PlayInn reviews the minor's documents before check-in and you never access their document: you see the label “verified family” or, if the minor travels without the account holder, their first name, their age and the label “authorized minor”. Do not receive a minor if the booking does not show that the verification was approved; in that case, let us know. If you host minors, you undertake to respect their best interests and rights under Law 26,061, to provide rest, hygiene and privacy conditions suited to their age, not to give them alcohol, tobacco or other substances prohibited for their age, not to have them share a room with adults outside their travel group without the responsible adult's consent, and to report immediately to the competent authorities and to PlayInn any situation that endangers their well-being.

17. Requests, acceptance, payment and chat

When a guest sends you a request, you have 24 hours to accept or decline it; if you do not respond, it expires. Accepting does not yet confirm the booking: from your acceptance, the guest has 24 hours to pay within the platform, and if they do not pay, the request expires. The booking is confirmed when the payment is credited, and from then on you undertake to honor it: to receive the guest on the booked dates and to deliver the accommodation as listed. Before confirmation you can talk to the guest through the PlayInn chat, but exchanging phone numbers, emails, social media or other contact details is not allowed, and the chat filters them; once the booking is confirmed, the exact address and both parties' identification details are shared. Until you accept the request, the guest can withdraw it. If the guest asks to extend the stay, you decide whether to accept, and the extension is also paid within the platform. Do not accept requests you will not be able to honor.

18. Price, commission and service fee

On the base of each booking, which is the price of the nights times the number of beds plus the extras, PlayInn charges a total commission of 12%, split as follows: you pay a 9% commission, deducted from your payout, and the guest pays a 3% service fee, added to what they pay and shown itemized before payment. For example, on a base of ARS 100,000 the guest pays ARS 103,000, you receive ARS 91,000 and PlayInn keeps ARS 12,000. PlayInn covers the Mercado Pago processing cost out of its commission, and it is not deducted from your payout. If the guest uses points or other discounts granted by PlayInn, PlayInn funds that discount and it does not reduce your payout either. The commission is rounded to the cent and your payout is the exact difference between the base and the commission. All amounts are expressed and paid in Argentine pesos. The commission percentages and the minimum stay of each booking are fixed when the request is made.

19. Payout: holding and transfer

The money the guest pays is held by PlayInn until after check-out. Once the stay has ended, and as long as there is no open claim on the booking, your payout becomes ready for transfer and PlayInn transfers it manually, in Argentine pesos, to the account you declared in your payout details. PlayInn does not deduct transfer charges. We will notify you when the payout has been transferred, and you can check its status in your dashboard. Crediting may take time due to the operating timeframes of PlayInn and of banks or payment institutions, and due to non-business days. While held, amounts do not earn interest or adjustments in your favor, unless the law provides otherwise or the delay is attributable to PlayInn. If the guest shortens the stay or cancels, or if there is a claim, your payout is recalculated under these terms.

20. Payout account, debts and payments made in error

The account you declare (CBU, CVU or alias) must be in your name or, if you list for a legal entity, in that entity's name. You are responsible for the details being correct: a transfer made to the account you declared is deemed properly made, and PlayInn is not liable for delays or losses caused by wrong or outdated details you entered. We may ask you to prove ownership of the account and delay the transfer until you do. If you owe PlayInn money, such as cancellation penalties, it is deducted from your next payouts; the debt does not block your account and, if you have no pending payouts, we may agree another way of paying with you. If by mistake you receive more than you are owed, or an amount you are not owed, you must tell us and return it; if you do not return it within 10 business days of our request, we may deduct it from your next payouts. If a guest's payment is disputed or reversed through the payment method before we transfer it to you, we may suspend the transfer while it is resolved; if the reversal is due to a breach on your part, we may deduct that amount from your future payouts.

21. Taxes

You are responsible for the tax obligations arising from your hosting activity: registering where applicable with national, provincial and municipal tax authorities, declaring your income, issuing the invoices or receipts the rules require and paying the applicable taxes, fees and levies. PlayInn does not provide tax advice: if in doubt, consult a professional. If a rule requires PlayInn to withhold or collect taxes, to collect a levy on behalf of an authority or to report your transactions, we will do so, and for that purpose we may ask you for tax details such as your CUIT or CUIL; any resulting amounts will be shown in your payout breakdown.

22. Cancellation by the guest

If the guest cancels a confirmed booking, the amount retained depends on how long is left until check-in day and is calculated on the value of the minimum stay (the nightly price times the number of beds, multiplied by the nights of the minimum stay, or by the booked nights if fewer): 14 days or more before, nothing is retained; less than 14 days and at least 7, 25% is retained; less than 7 days and at least 48 hours, 50%; and less than 48 hours, or if the guest does not show up, 100%. From the amount retained you receive that amount minus the 9% commission; nights beyond the minimum stay and extras not provided are refunded to the guest. The platform sets the minimum stay for each sport or tournament or event and, if none is set, it is 3 nights. The guest sees this cancellation policy before paying.

23. Shortened stay, no-show and withdrawal

If the guest does not show up, let us know so that we can record it: the less-than-48-hours tier applies. If the guest shortens a stay already under way, you receive only the nights used and the extras for those nights, plus the extras charged once per stay; the rest is refunded to the guest. If the guest exercises the right of withdrawal granted by consumer protection rules and that right applies, the booking is canceled with the refund the law provides, and that booking generates no payout or penalty for you.

24. Cancellation by the host

Canceling a confirmed booking is a serious breach towards the guest and the platform, and you should only do it if you really cannot host them. If you cancel, the guest receives a refund of 100% of what they paid, including the service fee, you receive nothing for that booking and you owe PlayInn a penalty calculated on the total 12% commission that is lost, according to how far in advance of check-in day you cancel: 14 days or more, no penalty; less than 14 days and at least 7, 25% of that commission; less than 7 days and at least 72 hours, 50%; and less than 72 hours, 100%. The penalty is deducted from your next payouts and does not block your account. In addition, canceling less than 14 days in advance adds a strike, and your public profile may show the number of bookings you canceled as a host. No penalty or strike applies when you cancel after a circuit case decided in your favor. If the cancellation was due to an unforeseeable event or force majeure that made hosting impossible (for example, damage to the property), you can ask us through the support channels, with supporting documents, to review the penalty and the strike; the guest's refund is always full.

25. Strikes

Strikes are counted over the last 12 months. With the first one, it is recorded on your account and we may reduce the visibility of your listings. With the second, your account is suspended for up to 45 days and your active listings are paused. With the third, we close your account permanently and may prevent new registrations by you or linked to the same accommodation address. During a suspension you cannot list, accept requests or take other actions on the platform, but you can still view your account. Suspension or closure does not make you lose payouts already earned for completed stays, less any debts, and any confirmed bookings you have are handled as we inform you in each case, making it a priority that no guest is left without accommodation. We will tell you the reason for each measure and you can ask us to review it.

26. Tournament or event canceled or rescheduled

If the tournament or event linked to a booking changes its dates, we notify the affected guests, who have 72 hours from the notice to cancel at no cost; if they cancel, they receive a full refund and you receive nothing for that booking, with no penalty or strike. If they do not cancel within that period, the booking stays as it was made. If the tournament or event is canceled altogether, the confirmed or in-progress bookings linked to it are canceled, the guests receive a full refund and you receive nothing for those bookings, with no penalty or strike; your active listings linked to that tournament or event also expire. These situations are beyond the control of you, the guest and PlayInn, and they give rise to no compensation between you and the guest or payable by PlayInn.

27. Guest claims

If the accommodation does not match the listing, the guest can open a claim from their booking while it is confirmed or in progress, with photos and a description; the guest may leave the place and PlayInn does not relocate them. While the claim is open, your payout for that booking is held. You can send us your account of events and any evidence you have through the support channels published on the site, and we will take them into account. PlayInn reviews the case, usually within 24 to 48 hours, and decides it within the platform, notifying both parties. If the claim is upheld, you receive nothing for that booking and the guest is refunded what they paid minus the value of one night of that booking (the nightly price times the number of beds), which PlayInn keeps as a fixed service cost. If the claim is not upheld, your payout proceeds as usual. What PlayInn decides within the platform does not prevent either party from asserting their rights before the consumer protection authority or the courts.

28. Damage, deposits and insurance

PlayInn does not collect security deposits or offer insurance or a guarantee covering damage to your accommodation, theft or injuries. For that reason you may not ask guests for deposits, advance payments or guarantees outside the platform either. If a guest causes damage, you can claim it from them directly through legal channels, using the identification details you received with the booking, and you can report it to PlayInn so that we can consider measures on their account; if a competent authority requests it, we will cooperate with the information we have. We recommend taking out insurance covering your home, your belongings and your civil liability towards guests and third parties, and checking that its coverage includes using the place for accommodation; in some jurisdictions, such as the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, that civil liability insurance is mandatory. Keep photos of the condition of the place before and after each stay.

29. Conduct, safety and house rules

Treat guests with respect and good faith. Installing or using cameras or other devices that record images or sound in bedrooms, bathrooms or any space where guests sleep, change or expect privacy, which the law protects (sections 53 and 1770 of the Civil and Commercial Code), is prohibited; any cameras at entrances or in common areas must be disclosed in the listing and must not capture those private spaces. You may not enter the booked spaces without prior notice, except in an emergency. Your accommodation must meet the safety and hygiene conditions the rules require, with gas and electrical installations in good order, and we recommend having smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a first-aid kit and emergency numbers in view. You may set reasonable house rules, which must be written in the listing, may not be discriminatory or impose unpublished charges and apply equally to all guests. In an emergency or if a crime occurs, call the authorities first and then let us know.

30. Everything within the platform

Bookings that originate on PlayInn are paid for and managed within PlayInn, including their extensions and extras. You may not request or accept payments outside the platform, in cash, by transfer or by any other means, offer discounts to close the deal outside it or use the chat to steer the guest to other channels before confirmation. These rules protect both parties: a payment made outside the platform is not covered by its holding, refunds or claims. Not following them is a serious breach and may lead to the suspension or closure of your account.

31. Guests' personal data

With each booking you receive the guest's personal data, such as their name, identity document number, dates and number of people and, where applicable, a minor's first name and age. You may only use them to manage that stay and to meet legal obligations, such as the guest register required by local rules. Under Personal Data Protection Law 25,326, you must keep them confidential, protect them with reasonable security measures, not disclose or publish them, not use them to send advertising or to contact the guest for purposes unrelated to the stay, and delete them when they are no longer needed, unless a rule requires you to keep them longer. For that data you are the controller of your own processing. If you suffer a loss of, or unauthorized access to, that data, let us know immediately. PlayInn processes users' data in accordance with its privacy notice.

32. Reviews

After each stay, you and the guest can rate each other. Reviews are double-blind: neither party sees the other's until both have rated or the 14-day window ends. They must be honest, based on the actual experience and respectful, with no personal or contact details. You may not offer benefits in exchange for a review, pressure anyone to change or remove one, or retaliate for a negative review. PlayInn may remove reviews that breach these terms, but does not remove them merely for being unfavorable.

33. Breaches, sanctions and leaving

If you breach these terms, depending on severity and recurrence we may ask you to correct the listing, pause or remove it, hold the payout of a disputed booking while it is resolved, restrict features, suspend or close your account and, in serious cases, refuse future registrations by the same person. Measures will be proportionate, we will tell you the reason whenever possible and you can ask us to review them by submitting your response. You can stop hosting whenever you want by pausing or archiving your listings, and close your account when you have no active or ongoing bookings. Neither voluntary closure nor a sanction makes you lose amounts already earned for completed stays, which are transferred to the account you declared, less any debts.

34. Liability

You are liable to guests, third parties and PlayInn for the condition of the accommodation, the accuracy of your listing, honoring the bookings you confirmed and complying with applicable rules, and for the damage your breaches cause, to the extent attributable to you. PlayInn is liable for providing its own service and for safekeeping and transferring the money it collects on your behalf; it is not liable for the condition of accommodations, for the conduct of guests or third parties or for reasonable service interruptions due to maintenance or causes beyond its control. Nothing in these terms excludes a party's liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence or limits the rights the law grants to anyone acting as a consumer.

35. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example due to changes in the law, in how the platform works or in its economic rules. Each version is identified by its date. If the change is relevant, we will tell you through the platform or by email before it takes effect, and you will have to accept the new version before activating or reactivating a listing. If the change affects economic conditions, we will give you advance notice. Bookings confirmed before the change are governed by the conditions in force when they were confirmed. If you disagree with the new version, you can pause or archive your listings or close your account at no cost.

36. Governing law, jurisdiction and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. If, in your relationship with PlayInn, you qualify as a consumer, you may file claims with the consumer protection authority and before the courts the law allows you to use, and no clause extending jurisdiction applies to you (section 1109 of the Civil and Commercial Code). For any questions about these terms, contact us from the app or through the support channels published on the site.
